How the fare is worked out
The printed chart comes first
BRTA prints a fare for every pair of stops on 111 routes, 7,409 fares in all. When a sheet covers your ride, its printed fare is the one shown, even where it differs from the per-km rate.
৳2.70 a kilometre, never under ৳10
For stops no sheet pairs up, the chart's own rate is applied to the road distance along the bus route, rounded to the nearest taka. Those fares are marked as calculated.
